Up to now I have not come across any other Lyons with a Wigan link, and am really excited by your wonderful story. Do you have any info that we may share? Look forward to hearing from you. Jan

Member Since: April 2007 Posts: 1 Send Message	hi my surname is lyon and im trying to trace back to 1761 when a george lyon was born in/around orrell wigan he was a notorious highway man so the story goes and i believe i am related to this man If any one may have information regarding this persons descendants please contact me. I have discovered his place of burial and grave which is in orell also. We now live in Haydock St helens merseyside. I also belive he had children with both a mother and her daughter !! from the wigan area he was hung in lancaster in 1815
