Member Since: October 2006 Posts: 0 Send Message	my grand fathers family came from Birtley i dont know a lot about his side of the family but some of the names you have ring a bell i think he had a brother joss i am waiting to speak to my mothers cousin who lives in chester le street as she seems to know more then my mother my grand fathers name was Henry Havlock Robinson

His name was Joseph(Joss) Robinson born in Birtley Co Durham in 1881, married Elizabeth(Liz or Lizzie) Hewitt in Chester-le-Street Co Durham in 1914. They had children named Peggy(Margaret) Thomas(Tom, my Dad)Joe, Betty, Harry, John, Billy(William)and Frank, all now deceased. The family lived in South Shields, Joss was first a miner and then a Docker. I cannot trace my granda before his marriage. Can anyone help? Pauline (Nee Robinson)
