Hi Glenis
Just looking through the surname sumary and saw that you are looking for Causons in Wiltshire and Gloucestershire,
my grandfather was William Francis Causon born in 1886 in Glos. his grandfather was Luke Causon born in 1831 some census say witlshire and others say Glos. I have come to a grinding halt with Luke I dont know if you have any more information

Hi Glenis & Jean,

I have just discovered that a branch on my tree leads to Causons in Wiltshire - Dianna who married a John Stone in 1820 in Sopworth, Wilts. According to LDS IGI her mother was Mary Causon but no father's name is shown on the birth record of 1798 in Sopworth.

Could this be the same family that you are researching?

I must admit I didn't appreciate that Gaston (or Caston) might be a variant - I was originally searching for Cason!

Regards,
