Typical that address is not listed but 223 Strand is shown. RG09/179/1/5 Reg. District; Strand Sub District: 3 St Clement Danes David Fruncon age 21 born France Thomas Smith age 16 born London Would at least give you a starting point to trawl through the images Maureen

Maureen, Thanks for your help, but I don't have full access to Ancestry to go through these images, any help gratefully received. Susan

Oh double bother then !!! I do not have unlimited internet access to spend the time looking through the images. Have just taken a look at the entry for David Fruncon at 223 Strand - it is the very first entry at the top of the page - so no idea if the district is split into different enumerators - 222 Strand is marked as no person sleeping therein - so that is no help. St Clement Danes is split into 15 enumerator districts. Maureen

Ahh Well, Maureen, Thanks again, but it looks like a day at the library for me, where I can get access to Ancestry and trawl through the 15 pages for the area! (I was just hoping there may have been an easier way, but never mind) Susan

Nudging because I still can't find this entry, and it's really bugging me. Can anyone please help? Susan

Susan, Each enumerator district can have dozen of pages - so 15 districts could be 100's of pages. You might just be unlucky in that they are not anywhere on the 1861 census. Maureen
