Hi Jacqueline, thank you for your very kind offer. I'd appreciate a Tipton birth look up please. unfortunately I don't have parents names. As this is the farthest back I've gone. Cornelius Baker b 1763c possibly Tipton area. He married an Esther Smith. Sorry but that's all I've got. I do however have their marriage certificate unfortunatley it doesn't give me his father's name. Many thanks in advance for any help you can offer, Lou |

Hi Jacqueline, You had me paniking there for a moment untill I read your next message. In answer to your question I honestly don't know. I do know that his children and grandchildren however were born in and lived in either Tipton or Dudley & that Cornelius is the family name passed through to present day. I don't know how to trace back further. I went on the LDS site and found the family there with father's birth year and that's as far back as I've managed to go. Have you any idea how I will know whether the person you've found is related or not? Lou |

Sorry I have no other info on Thomas Ellis as such...I had checked on IGI but there is nothing. I have him on the census living in Hanley...born around the Stoke area. He served with the 1st div Kings Dragoon Guards and he married a Sarah ? born in New York. His children were born in Ireland, Norwich and Hanley...so it's a mixed bunch lol !! Many thanks Linda |
