Richard I am not sure if they are related because they live a few doors away from William & his brother but the 1891 census lumps all names together. As the census only says about 1869 i've search surrounding years, the closest match i can come up with is - Walter William Taylor dec 1870 St Georges Hanover Square.

If it's Clapton, then the registration district would be West Ham... assuming that his birth was registered where he thought he was born!

Is it Clapton or Clapham? They're both in London, but in different areas!

georgina That is the marriage of my great grandparents, i've traced back to the 1700s on ediths side but the taylors are so hard as there is so many of them.

Thanks georgina Reg - I haven't been able to find either name variants on any other census with the birth area of Clapton. The only one I can pinpoint him on is the 1901 as he was married by then.
