Her name is Adeline Alice Naish, she was born 1893 in Hackney. I can't find her or her parents in 1901 and it's driving me mad! Please could someone find her for me. Thanks Gemma

If Daniel was in the workhouse in 1901 how do I find out where his wife and children are? Or are they there too?

Gemma you need to look through the BMD index ( freebmd.org ) for possibles deaths for the wife and children. ( I'm saying they have all died of course ) Look through the 1901 census index( free to search) to find possibles for the children who could be anywhere. 1901 daniel is a widow in the poorhouse ! Esta, I have checked the 1901 image and I would say that Daniel was married in 1901 - not widowed. Elaine

Elaine.........sorry you're right it probably does say married for Daniel Gemma - I have no idea about what has happened to the rest of her family - This is where your 'leg work' starts - although I find it unlikely that they all died though.......... If you can't find a death for Susan thers's always the possibilty that she didn't die but remarried. other children may have married and now have different surnames Etc... Esta
