Perhaps Jane died after Hannah's birth, but before 1851 census.........and George re-married......... Or do you have info about her death which precludes that scenario? Reg

Hi Robyn Jane Lane did marry George Wickman in 1837, I found it on family search.com. It doesn't give a date and only says Jane was born before 1800. Janice

it is wierd, there are loads of baps on the IGI right name WIckman . Right father christian name George. BUT mother Mary - everytime

Hi I have looked up some notes from my aunt and they say Hannah Wickman's birth certificate reads 16th July 1838 Reigate Borough, County of Surrey to Jane Wickamn formerly Lane and George Wickman a baker. Any help would be most appreciated , do you think I am looking at the wrong entry. I see on the IGI that a member of the church has out in these dates and people not sure where they got their info from. Robyn

No I dont have any census detalis I have asked for help on those but nothing could be found in Reigate in 1841 or 1851. Any suggestions? I know for a fact that they were Hannah Wickman's parents and presume they were married. She had a brother Joseph born in Reigate circa 1846. Robyn

There is no George Wickman in that quarter and year on Ancestry new search facility. Suzanne
