Hi Karen Thank you very much indeed for that information, I got such a lot from it, including two new families, and I have connected two branches of this family together now. Wonderful! Thanks again Lisa xx

Thanks for looking. They weren't in Hitchin or Wymondly by any chance? No idea about the ones in Broxbourne - he was a shepherd. Shergolds seem to originate in Wiltshire and move to Hertfordshire, one by one.

Christine - re SHERGOLD I'm sorry but I can't find any Shergold's in either Ippollitts or Broxburne. If you think they could be in another parish let me know and I'll look again. Karen

Lisa - re ALDRIDGE I found the following. The addresses are a bit hard to understand. For example at the top of the page it says Water Mill and then nearer the bottom next to Aldridge it says 'Street'. The word Street is repeated on its own later so it may be an area such as when it says 'Common', the same applies to where is says 'Lane'. Street - (Water Mill) Edward Aldridge, 35, Ag Lab Sarah, 35 Henry, 9 Mary Ann, 7 John, 3 Thomas, 3 Phebe, 1 Street - (Totts Lane) William Aldridge, 23, Ag Lab Elizabeth, 23 Sarah, 2 David, 1 Lane - James Aldrige, 25, Ag Lab Sarah, 20 Hannah, 4 Sarah, 3 Eliza, 1 Frog Lane - Eliza Aldridge, 20 (Looks like she was living with - Joseph Clinton, 40; Fanny, 40; Joseph, 12; Emma, 10; John, 3) Frog Lane - Mary Aldridge, 16 (Looks like she was living with - David Stainer(sp?), 28; Hannah, 30; Sarah, 33; David, 12; Joseph, 10; Daniel, 7) Hope the above is of some help. Karen

Hi Susie I think I have already looked for your Harrowell in Tring/North Church and found one family in Tring. If you don't have the info let me know and I'll dig it out. If I'm wrong and haven't looked in these places - tell me so! Karen

Please put requests on this thread and not by private email. This is because it is easier to keep track of my progress if all requests are on the thread in order. Feel free to email with queries etc on the look up - but put the main info here. I need the name and the parish. The CD is not indexed so for larger parishes it can take me a while, so please be patient. If you can give as much info on the family group as possible to help identify them, ie siblings, occupations etc. that would be good. If I find any other families with the same surname during the search I can let you have them too. Karen
