Is it a bird? is it a plane? | Report | 10 Sep 2005 20:57 |
My John was a postilion in 1867 when he married and a post boy in 1878 when his daughter Alice was born so I don't think thats my family afterall :( back to the drawing board! And the shame is that John's father was called William so a lot of it was fitting! |

Thanks Zoe and Fiona. I don't suppose it has William's occupation? It doesn't sound like the Henry and Ann are related to my John afterall as he's married by 1871 but it was worth a long shot! The family are all involved in coaching and horses and the postal service from what I can tell and the Henry I'd found in 1881 was a groom. His mother Ann was born in Silverton which is where my John claims to be from. |

Is it a bird? is it a plane? | Report | 10 Sep 2005 20:49 |
Can anyone help me? I'm trying to find a Henry Rowe b. abt 1858 (which would make him approx 13 in 1871) born in Newport, Monmouthshire. His mother is Ann Rowe, b. abt 1821 in Silverton, Devon (making her about 50?). Really need to find out who is in this household. Thanks Sarah |
