Suzy Report 5 Aug 2005 22:57

This is Mary's birth (I think), so she would have been 4 years old in 1897: Lamb Mary Jane Chorlton 8c 946 Birth Q2 1893 Suzy SNAP again!!

Liberty64 Report 5 Aug 2005 22:54

Thanks Suzy Yes that looks about right, as her Daughter Mary Jane lived with grandparents from being four and she was born 1893! Lib

Suzy

Suzy Report 5 Aug 2005 22:49

Lib This could be her death reference, although her name is very common, but this is the one which matches her best in age and location (although she could have died anywhere): Lamb Elizabeth age 26 Chorlton 8c 570 Death Q1 1897 Suzy

I know her father was deceased by 1891 but was his profession listed on the certificate? Deborah

Hi Suzy The marriage cert is the only source of info I have for her, I know she died by 1901 as her Daughter Mary Jane Lamb was with her paternal grandparents! Mary Jane Lamb is my hubbys grandmother, she lived with her grandparents from being 4yr old. Her father re-married and had more children, which I have located in 1901! Lib

Do you have Elizabeth's birth record or certificate?

Liberty64

Liberty64 Report 5 Aug 2005 22:30

Well folks, Dosent look like any of the witnesses lived there either, maybe they were relatives/friends and she just stayed there for convenience! Thanks to all for your input! Lib

Liberty64 Report 5 Aug 2005 22:20

Hi Deborah No, it clearly reads '5' and James address clearly reads '6' thanks for suggestion! Lib

Suzy

Suzy Report 5 Aug 2005 22:20

Deb/Lib Apparently people getting married often put the same address, although they weren't living together. Something about saving money on the church banns being read in only one parish. Suzy

Suzy Report 5 Aug 2005 22:18

Names of witnesses on certificate?

Deborah

Deborah Report 5 Aug 2005 22:17

Is it definitely a 5 and not 6 the same as her husband. She may have moved in just before she married him and got married from the same address, this is what my gg grandparents did. Therefore she could have been anywhere in the 1891 census. Deborah

Liberty64 Report 5 Aug 2005 22:16

No Suzy, unfortunatley she dosent! Lib

Suzy

Suzy Report 5 Aug 2005 22:14

Lib Does Elizabeth have a profession on her marriage certificate? The one Fiona had found certainly looks like Brennan, and she is a macintosh garment maker! Suzy

Liberty64

Liberty64 Report 5 Aug 2005 22:12

Suzy I didnt think to do that! bloody typical, looks like they have moved between her getting married and census night! Lib

Suzy Report 5 Aug 2005 22:06

Lady I looked at 5 Nuttall Street, which is 2 images along from her future husband (Lamb family), and there is a different family living there. Perhaps Elizabeth moved there between the census and getting married. Suzy
