Hello Sheila. Could you try a look-up for me please. I'm trying to find info on a Robert Anderson, who was born in Poplar in 1846. His father was a Waterman, and at least one of his brothers (Joseph) was a seaman. Robert's proved elusive on the 1871 & 81 censuses, so I'm wondering if he was at sea. Thank you Helen

Hi, Looking for anyone called Pester, born in Hampshire/Devonport, Devon. Mainly for Edwin Ashburn Pester, Thomas Ashburn Pester, Thomas Pester, William Pester, Edwin John Ashburn Pester. Any with that surname but if there's too many don't worry about it. Thanks Steve

Hi Sheila Many thanks for the offer. Can you please check for James Marten born about 1839 in Sussex and Thomas Aitcheson, a master mariner, born 1847-ish (big ish) possibly Scotland but any connection to Liverpool or Bristol would be OK too! (Never found him in a census yet!) Cheers Lesley

Sandra - the CD only lists Merchant, not Royal Navy. Sue G - lots of Pierce's, but would need more info! Helen in Kent - none of the correct age I'm afraid. Jill - will email when I can with Warrey info, no Goughs. Grace - will email when I can with Darlings. Kate - no George Sanger unfortunately! Helen - no Rafters either! Edith - some Burbridges but none from Ireland or for correct age. Marilyn - no Booth from Bermuda I'm afraid. Pat GR - no Foster for correct time. I can view listings by vessel and 'Crimea' is there but lists only go to 1899!
