Hi Leon, Thanks so much for looking for my Houghton family. In 1851 the family were at Monkwell Street and in 1871 Phillips Court but both addresses have been checked and they are not there in 1861. By 1871 Ann was listed as a widow. Another child Matilda was born in October 1861 at 15, Princes Street, Spitalfields, (daughter of Henry, a Box Maker). Someone else checked that address for 1861 but they may be in the Spitalfields area. It is Henry who is my great grandfather and I was hoping to find him as it is the only census he would be with his parents. By 1871 he is living elsewhere. He should be 9 in 1861 but later census list him as 17, 27 so could be down as 7,8 or 9. Many thanks for your help. Rose

Now that 1837 online has the 1861 census for London I would greatly appreciate a lookup for the following family who always lived close to the City but moved around quite a bit. I understand that a lookup takes 3 credits! They should be. Henry HOUGHTON, 43, carpenter, born Bethnal Green Ann HOUGHTON, 37, born Bishopsgate Ann HOUGHTON, 16, Louisa HOUGHTON, 14, Elizabeth HOUGHTON, 12 Sarah HOUGHTON, 10/11 Henry HOUGHTON, 8/9 William HOUGHTON , 3 Amelia HOUGHTON, 1 Most children born Cripplegate or City of London. Very grateful for your time and trouble. Rose
