BUT - its not under Dav* I can assure you, thats why I was so interested in the postings on that thread ! You found a Samuel whose birthplace was given as St Hayward, Staffs (that's what you wrote anyway!). There is no such place, but there is somewhere in Staffs called Great Haywood. I am suggesting that could be the birthplace.
