Hi Ann Could you please look up William Fryer Backhouse, born Bakewell, Derbyshire 1871. Wife Emily, born 1873 Sheffield. There is one child that I know of by then - William Fryer Backhouse born 1897 Ecclesall Bierlow Thank you Janet |

Diane, I looked on ancestry and there were 101 matches for Harrington on the 1891 for Monmouthshire. Is there a particular person you would like me to look for? Ann |

Hi Ann - thanks very much for the offer. Please could you check 1871 for James George MILLER, born c.1853/4 in Southwark/Blackfriars/St Georges based on info from other censuses. (I think he had a sister Emma Ann.) I have a birth certificate, giving father's name also as James George MILLER (sack collector). However, I'm not sure that this is the right person as my James' marriage certificate gives father as George James MILLER (bricklayer). Any info from 1871 which might help to eliminate or sort out whether the fathers are the same people would be much appreciated. Regards Sarah |

Hi Ann Thanks for the very kind offer. Could you look on the 1871 census for me to see if you can find: Charles Savill aged approx 39 born Sheering, Essex Jane, his wife, aged approx 36 born Sawbridgeworth, Herts John, son, aged approx 3 born Epping, Essex Alfred, son, aged approx 1 born Epping And possibly another son William If you can find them I should also be interested in anyone else who was staying with them at the time.
