Hi Chrissie Good to hear that someone else on here has Whettons in their tree.Mine are all Oxfordshire based back to 1680s so unless it is further back I doubt if we are connected.Although I do remember a childhood story that way back the family were Huguenots who came from France and settled in Nottinghamshire as they were lace makers,but this would have been 16thcentury (if true). Hi Mary I'm looking for the birth of Joseph (Solomon) Turner, would have been registered Chorlton. Elaine has already checked all of 1864 for me and he isn't there. Could you possibly check the last 2 qtrs of 1863 for me? Many thanks Lou |
