Skelton abt 1879 AGE 2YRS Poplar, Middlesex, England Daughter Poplar William Skelton abt 1853 aGE 28 Southampton Head Poplar Williams occupation is given as stoker hydraulic engine 3 Ellesmere St Poplar The Bow bells are not at Bow in the eastend as many think but at St Mary-le-bow in Cheapside in the heart of London here is the official website http://www.stmarylebow(.)co.uk/ remove brackets!!!!!!!!!! I would say Poplar definately is within the sound of Bow Bells Ellesmere St is still in existance and it is near the docks Re: Howard Rd -Rose probably lived there after 1901 which means it won't be on the 1901 census. I suggest you get your dads birth certificate and go from there

Hi Alice, Thanks. I'm looking for Cambridgeshire info on SKINNER family, who seemed to move between there & Stepney. I have references to Duxford, St John parish. Can you find verification for my John SKINNER (& wife Grace WOOD) or their children John, Jane, Thomas & Josiah (plus his wife Lydia)? I've also found some later links to Aldborough, Suffolk, which perhaps isn't far away? Thanks so much for the offer. Sue

Hi Alice. Thank you very much, now I have to find how to get it all on to my tree. Would you know how I may be able to find out if and when any of them got married and if they had any children? Thanks again Len Skelton.

hi how are you, i am looking for any info on a man called William Rogers, born 1858,Littleport cambridgeshire trying to find out if he is the father of James Rogers born 1879 i think littleport too but might be hilgay/downham, on the 1901 census it has James as living in Hilgay so im hoping for something earlier where it lists him as the member of a household so i can try and make some kind of family connection to william, or another Rogers household. tricky stuff this family history! any help would be great!, thanks Kenan Rogers
