Brilliant re Jonas' burial Pat, many thanks. Yes, his father was 92 when he died, his mother 86! Unbelievable ages amongst his lot considering the life then. As I said in the 1851 he was still working as an ag lab at 76!! Then his son goes to London to work in Stepney and died aged 50 - shows you that Norfolk is the place to live, eh? |

Gail If you look on this site you can see from the history that the parishes were quite complicated . Do you think All saints and St Johns were once two parishes and that I could have been looking in the wrong one? In fact maybe I should have been looking a t St, Marks? http://www2.env.uea.ac.uk/gmmc/stpaul/nfgrouphis(.)html remove brackets Have just read somewhere that st Marks was built in 1844 That could be why there were no records from St, Johns Where did you get info about christenings? Could be just looking in wrong church? Alice |

Hi Alice, The wedding of Thomas and Mary Artisis as follows. ELLIS Thomas 11 5 18 ARTISS Mary Lakenham St John & all Saints Lak. According to IGI Thomas was born Lakenham in 1798. I don't have anything about being baptised. So it could well be the other church. Gail |

I live in New Zealand so getting to Record Offices is pretty much a no-go as you can imagine.
