Dear Teresa. Thank you for taking the time to try and find them for me. I have not had a census look up for Denna in 1841, all I have on them is the marriage. I checked back to her parents George Bannell and Ann Hudson b c1745 to see if she might have been staying with them but I have no census look ups for them ether. I will have a look to see if she might have married again. Thanks Valerie

Hello Victoria I have checked out Denton 1841 and thogh there are about 3 families with the name Carneby your sarah is not amongst them - there is a Wales Carneby with a daughter Sarah age 5 but she is still with them on 1851 so not yours. Looking at family search the only other sarah mentioned of that time period and born Denton is one with parents wiliiam Corneby and Sarah Barwick. If the family search info is correct william was born around 1788 This is their marriage _ CORNEBY William 30 Nov 1813 BARWICK Sarah Alburgh I cannot find this couple on 1841 or 1851 - they could have died obviously or maybe they moved to Suffolk - If Sarah married there it seems likely that either her parents were with her in Suffolk or they had died so she had no ties to take her back to Denton for a wedding. My gut feeling is that this is your sarah however you need to prove it and you will need her marriage cert for that. I think it might be worth getting the 1841 census for suffolk checked in the area that she married. If you can suggest another parish in Norfolk for me to look though please do not hesitate to say. Teresa

That would be great if you have the 1841 for Heigham. Dont know if I have enough to find them though. If you could see if a John Horstead is there, married to Sarah, Id be grateful.

Hi Teresa Thanks for the offer, you helped me once before find my Hemblings and using the census information you sent me I now know William Hemblings wifes name...which is why im begging for your help again? Her name is Sarah Cornaby, ive found her marriage to my William Hembling which was in Bungay Suffolk in 1847, but I still know nothing about her or her family... Using the census id say she was born approx 1827ish in Denton, Norfolk...so any info you can find id be grateful of... Thanks very much again Best wishes Vikki xx

hello Lorraine I have been able to find the middle 2 people you mentioned but not the others - please let me know your email and I will send images Parts of those parishes are just totally illegible I am afraid. Though bad as it is I am pretty sure your first Francis is not In Houghton St Giles. You may already have the following but just incase you haven't I shall add them here Marriages FROHAWK Francis 11 5 24 HALL Catherine Gateley FROHAWK Francis 30 1 33 SLEGG Sarah Houghton St Giles FROHAWK Nicholas 24 3 1 FILBY Mary Cranworth FROHAWK Nicholas 25 6 7 WRENCH Rosamond Morston FROHAWK Ann(e) 19 11 36 NASH Richard Matthew Weybourne FROHAWK Louisa Rosamond 27 10 35 POWELL Charles Tattersett FROHAWK Mary 23 10 6 WARD John Brisley FROHAWK Mary 6 11 27 MERRISON Timothy Houghton St Giles Teresa

Lorraine Report 28 Sep 2004 14:28

Dear Teresa I am looking for members of the FROHAWK (spelling highly variable) family and households on the 1841 census. I have their entries for 1851 and then they were in the following villages: Houghton Le Hole/H. St Giles - Francis Frohawk, farmer, aged 41 in 1851 Brisley - Francis Frohawk, farmer, aged 69 in 1851 Tattersett - Nicholas Frohawk, farmer, aged 64 in 1851 Gt Walsingham - Mary Merrison (formerly Frohawk) aged 47 in 1851 I think in 1841 they may possibly have also farmed in Little Walsingham. If this all sounds a lot then just the first one in the list (Francis) would be brilliant. Many thanks Lorraine

They are just not there. I find this odd as they are there in 1851 and all the children were born there. This tells me that they are mostly likely on a page that is just not readable or there is a very remote chance that they were elsewhere - if you can suggest somewhere I am happy to look. Did you want anyone from 1861 or not?? Regards Teresa
