Hi Can you do an 1870 lookup for a Sarah Alexander born in England, aged inbetween 55 and 65 please. She was born in London, so she might of put London on the census paper.

Ann, Is there another member of his family at all, i can't find any Sidney Samuel Warrens in 1910, i even looked on the 1920 but there still wasn't any?? Dawn

There are 3 Sarah Alexanders on the 1870 census that fit your age group: Sarah Alexander born UK age 60 living in Hudson NJ Sarah Alexander born UK aged 51 living in Washington TX Sarah Alexander born UK aged 67 living in Eaton Lorain OH If any of these are her i'll get the rest of the info for you Dawn

I think you have the right one as my g,g,g,g, aunty Sarah Auber married a William Alexander and she had moved to the USA inbetween 1830 and 1850. I just wanted to see if she was still alive, and what part of the USA she went to. Thanks for helping me out Dawn. Ben

Paul, I couldn't find them on the 1920 census but i found them on the 1930 census living in Seattle, Washington: Alfred Whittington age 48 Head Born UK Daisy Whittington aged 48 Wife Born UK Alfred Whittington aged 20 Son Born UK Stanley Whittington aged 18 Son Born UK Gordon Whittington aged 14 Son Born UK Hope this helps, in the meantime i'll have another look on the 1920 census for you. Dawn, I would be very grateful if you could look up my great grandmother. Born Isabella Whilding could be Cob Dock, I dont know if thats the district name, its beside Brooklyn New York Father was Frederick Whilding deceased by 1902. By 1910 shehad returned to the States maybe Brooklyn New York though I dont know if she kept her married name HOLDEN or went back to her maiden name WHILDING. Thanks Pat x

Pat, I'm sorry but there is one by the name of Whilding on any US census that i can see, the only one i found was on the England 1901 census. Dawn

Hi Dawn. Thank you. I am looking for a John Ovens, born between 1811-1813 in Ireland. Lived in Jersey City, New Jersey in 1849. Hoping he can be found on the 1830, or possibly 1820 census. Thank you very much. (I believe someone else months ago searched the 1820 for me.)

Thanks very much Dawn, Yes I have her on 1901 UK and it is possibly her she married a year later in West Bromwich. She is driving me around the bend. Ah well I will have to think of something else. Many thanks again. Pat x

Hi Lisa, I think i have found your Ovens on the 1830 census for you: John Ovens age 36 Head Teacher Born Ireland Jane Ovens age 25 Wife Born Ireland Eliza Ovens age 7 Dau Born NJ Fanny Ovens age 3 Dau Born NJ Robert Ovens age ?? Son Born NJ Matilda Ovens age ?? Dau Born NJ All living in NJ on the 1830 census, hope this helps. Dawn

Hi Dawn: That certainly is my family, but I have a census printout that is dated 1850, with the same information from your 1830! Robert, who was Matilda's twin, was born in 1849 so I'm rather confused. I'll look again at my printout (it's the only U.S. census I have, since the Ovens were the only ancestors to live in the States for a bit). Thank you very, very much for your help. Hope you are doing well with your research.
