Hi Debra, Thanks for the offer. I'm not sure how it's indexed, but if possible could you please check the 1890 census for Walter DAVIDSON aged 34 (possibly a Joiner) born Galashiels, Scotland. I know he was single when he went Stateside post-1881, but don't have a clue where to! Thanks, Nigel Fairbairn

Hi Debra sorry yet another long shot my husbands family moved to America for a while but we dont know where 2 of their children were born there so maybe this will help Looking for James Hore b 1868 Cornwall and Edith Eleanor Hore 1867 children Earnest Hore born 1888 Yorks Florence Mary Hore 1890 America Samuel Hore 1892 America Herbert Hore 1897 Yorks Thomas James Hore Yorks If it helps we think he moved over there to mine with relatives all surname Hore from Cornwall heres hoping Jan x

Hi Debra Real Long shot. I have GG Grandad married in London in 1847 name John Daniels. Census details says he was born in c. 1795ish USA British Subject father James Daniels Merchant. No other details. I expect this is too little info, but if I don't try I'll never know! I realise this is probably too few details so don't spend precious time looking. Lynda

Debra, Thanks for the offer.. I know this is a long shot, but here goes ... I have Eva O'Leary and sister, Ann went to US during irish famine. I'm not sure when they did marry. All I know that both females was from Cork? Ireland. Ann married to a Mr SHUTTOCK Eva married to a Mr BRAUNBECK I was told that one of them might've lived in Ohio. Thanks in advance Tracy

I'm not sure what years you have but can you find my grandfather Andrew Greenwood who was born in 1911 and died in 1977 in Waterbury Connecticut.His wife was named Mae I think .Thanks.

Hi Deb , this is a long shot as I am not certain they emigrated , just can't find any of the family in 1901 UK Census . Looking for James Francomb(e) aged 38 in 1900 born Strand, London Sarah wife aged 38 born Kent George son aged 16 born St. Giles , Holborn , London Carry or Cassy daughter aged 14 born St Giles Horace son aged 11 born St Giles Jessie daughter aged 9 born Lambeth I have found surname spelt with or without "e" Thanks Hilary
