I have a connection to a Snook in Fonthill Gifford not far away from Tisbury - is this of any use

Born 2nd May 1850

Appears in 1851 census 11 months old

Hi Plhlip,

The best way to check for deaths at around this time (and births and marriages) is to look on freebmd.

It is not complete, but there are three John Snook deaths in Tisbury betwen 1852 and 1861.

Take a look and you will see them.

We are trying to locate the above, who was born in Wardour work house in the district of Tisbury Wilshire. He does not appear in any of the 1861 census. We think he may have died. Which is the best way to check this please? Can anybody help?
