but i dont know where Christian and the other John went but they would have been 19 and 21 so possibly left the family home


Yeah - i have a few details about the other side like i said. I know he is written down on my mother in laws mums death certificate as Colin Colville Graham but he seems to be know as Colville graham and that his parents were Willaim Graham and Ann anderson.

I do have a print off for him in the 1901 census which says he was 25 and he had

I do know that covilles birthday was 13th June 1875.

and his parents ann and william married on march 30th 1872

Ann Anderson possibly?? Ann is listed as neice... so we can be fairly sure her mothers maiden name was Elder? or could her mother's sister have married an Elder??

i dont know if ann was an elder or brown - im getting a bit lost now. I dont know a whole lot about these relatives - this is new ground!

Ann is her grandaughter. Which means either Ann's mother or father decends from her. As Ann does not have the same surname it can be safe to assume on of Magdalen's Daughters married an Anderson. Which means you need to look for an Anderson - Brown marriage,,,,
