i am presently trying to get a copy of my grandfathers marraige certificate x i will let you know of any developments x

could this possibly be a link x vague i know i was told my great grandfather was a docker in poplar although i do not know his name x they moved to india in the early 1900's as colonials x my grat grandmother was Ethel and she was born in poplar also and the family run the hoop and grapes pub in aldgate x

Think may have found him in 1901 census discovered he had siblings Gabriel Esther and Anne latter may have been alias found family of Abraham Saunders in census gives names of 7 children Esther and Gabriel match with 9 year old son named as Harry possibly him know all of his daughters life she knew him as Ted until his death in 1938 when she learned his name was Henry he also boxed under the name of Ted and he served in the ACS during WW1 Thanks for your help

I assumed Lewis was his surname. Found his death:

Haven't found him on the census yet though. What was Abraham's profession?

Thank you for the information was awaiting a copy of his marriage certificate which doesn't show his date of birth but is signed by his father Abraham Saunders. So sadly its the wrong Saunders also am positive of his death September 1938 which was registered in Romford am aware that he moved with his family to Becontree in the early thirties.Many thanks
