I am researching the rooneys from preston lancashire my grandfather was william rooney who married mary ann walmsley, mary ann had illegitamate twin girls margaret and teresa in february 1931, they went under the surname rooney even though they were not williams children, would love to know what happened to them, i know they were born in preston, as i have their birth certs, but no father named and we wondered if they were adopted,my grandfather had mary ann back but would not have the twins, any info would be much appreciated.

I would like to find out more about my family background as my mother remarried when I was very young and I was adopted by the man she married. I was never allowed contact with my father after that time and was moved away to Blackpool along with my brother Philip. I last saw my aunt Pat when she lived on Avenham? lane in about 1965

Ian Rooney I am searching for any information regarding my father, Francis Ronald Rooney(d.o.b.1932) or my aunt Patricia Rooney (d.o.b approx 1945). The only address I know of was Trower street Preston.....It ran from Manchester rd and ended at the gates of a small park (childrens playground) in the Frenchwood area near the river just off London road.....My aunt married and had at least two sons named Philip and Ian, I do not know her married name.
If anyone can help in my search It would be appreciated
