Hi Gail,
I've got "Staves" in my family.
Sophia Caroline Staves married my gr.gr.grandfather in Hull in 1847.
She, along with her family originated from Fulletby in Lincolnshire but they moved to Hull in about 1828. In those days the Staves were Boot and Shoe Makers.
I've no current info on the Staves family but if your research takes you to Hull or Fulletby I may be able to help.

Regards

Pete Wilkinson

Any help is greatly appreciated!!
