Find Ancestors

Hi,
Have been having difficulty in trying to trace my great aunts family. Her name was Annie Wilson and she married a Tom Abbey. Those were the only details I had.Annie was born in Hull c1868, Tom also c1867.
He was a blacksmith. Whilst trying to find out anything, all I discovered after many months was a birth GRO 9d 146. I then tried marriages and very strangely found one for a Thomas R Abbey Dec 1888 9d323 so I thought I was onto a winner until I found Annie's marriage GRO as Sep 1888 GRO 9d 253.
I am confused. Could there have been a mistake or have I got it wrong although after searching that was all I could come up with.
I have found nothing on the census either but would dearly love to know if their was any family.
They were both Hull born.

Thanks for all your research. That was the only Abbey I could find as well but My Annie definately came from Hull (unless someone is telling porkies!)
The only other piece of info I have of them is that they lived next door or near to Annie's sister Alice who was married to Fred Bray. They live down Goodrick Terrace, Cave street, Hull.

Hi,Many thanks for all your research, it is a mystery.I have very few details except Annie's sister Alice b1871 married Fred Bray b1873. Their first child was born in 1899 (Winifred) so could have married anytime before then. Does this help at all with Annie Wilson and Tom Abbey? I'm sorry for putting you to all this trouble but I am truly grateful. I have the relevant census' whilst they are growing up but no spouse details

In the 1871 census Annie was 5, in the 1881 census she was 13 but not listed in 1891 census.
I think her life with Tom are going to remain a mystery like her brother Frank who I cannot find any trace of either. On the 1891 census where Annie is missing there appears an Ada who no-one knows anything about. As far as we know Thomas Wilson and Ellen Ringrose only had 5 children! We're obviously a very mysterious family!
