Does anyone have any information on Colin MacKenzie MacDonald, described as 'surgeon' in his sons's marriage certificate. The term 'surgeon' at this time also referred to doctors.
He was born c.1800 in Scotland and was alive c1825. He had at least one known son Colin John MacDonald (1826-1883) who was a commercial clerk in London.
There does not appear to be a record of the death of Colin (senior) nor any indication where he was resident or his place of death.
Does anyone have any information on Dr. Macdonald or know where I might find out more about his career ?
