www.freebmd.org.uk

It only goes upto about 1920 and the coverage isn't complete but it is very good and most importantly FREE!!

Credits on Genes are a very expensive way to search the GRO indexes, there are other sites where you can get more for your money.

Yes that was the problem... too many Brinley Williams.
It seems that the marriage cert would be a great help... How much are these and where do I get it from?

Thanks again

No Sam, I don't have his marriage certificate. Where is freeBMD? I have been using the BMD lists on genes reunited and as I don't know the year it has worked out quite expensive to try and find peoples listings. I can't get his certificate until I know when he was born so am a bit stuck.
Thanks Sam

There are 17 Brinley Williams registered between 1909-1911 in Glamorgan.

You really need his marriage cert first to get his fathers name.

To get the names of Brinley's parent, you need to buy his birth certificate. Have you checked FreeBMD to see if his birth is listed?
Do you have his marriage certificate, how old was he on that? His marriage certificate would also give you his fathers name.

My Grandfather Brinley Williams born in Glamorgan around 1910, I think.
He married Alsace Mould born Jan- MAR 1915, Died Oct-Dec1942. They married Jan- mar 1935.
They had 3 children Cynthia born Jul-sep 1935. Gerald born c 1937 and Arthur Born June 1939. All in East Glamorgan.
I believe that Brinley died in 1995, definately in Taffswell area of glamorgan. I am having real trouble finding his records. He had a Sister called Elsie who married Leonard James.
I am unable to find Brinley and Elsies parents. My father didnt get on with his dad and so he has no information.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Kind Regards
Debbie
