My granduncle Maurice or Mossie Moloney,a broguemaker by trade may have gone to Australia during the troubles in Ireland. He was in his 20s and my nan his sister always worried about him as he was brought up in care as their parents died young. My nan was sent to America but returned to Tralee County Kerry when she was 18 and Mossie lived with her.She was married to bryan Flaherty and Im not sure but Mossy may have changed his name when he left Ireland. |
