If they were married, look for the marriage. The cert will tell you how old each of them was at the time, plus the names and occupations of their fathers.

That info may enable you to find their births..............as long as their names are not Smith, or Jones!

Then you can work backwards.............

NOT SURE WHERE TO START , IM LOOKING FOR MY GRANDMOTHER AND GRANDFATHER WHO WERE ABSENT PARENTS TO MY MOTHER , ALL I HAVE ON THEM IS THERE NAMES AND ADDRESS ON MY MOTHERS BIRTH CERTIFICATE HOW CAN I TRACE THEM AND THERE ROOTS, JUST FORM THIS INFORMATION , MY MOTHER IS NOW 69 AND FEELS TIME IS RUNNING OUT FOR HER TO KNOW ABIT ABOUT THEM , CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT I NEED TO DO , MANY THANKS .
