This looks like the birth of William & Sarh's eldest child. A birth cert would show mymn's maidne name

Helen the DOB's on the 1841 census were never meant to be accurate, they were rounded down.

From the 1841

*The ages of people over 15 years old were usually rounded down to the nearest 5 years. Therefore, someone who was actually 24 years would have their age listed as 20, and someone who was actually 27 years old would have their age listed as 25.

Hi
I have a WIlliam Rosser born 1797 or 1801 variously who was a farmer in the Risca area in S Wales. Some of the records have him born in Bassaleg.
In the 1841 census he is 40 and it looks like his wife is called Mary aged 35.

In the 1851 census Mary is no longer there and there is a Sarah named as his wife who is 24 and was born in Anglesey. She is my g-great grandmother. William is now 52.
I would love to go further back with William and the farming side of my family and also trace my roots in Anglesey. How can I find her maden name. I don't have the year of their marriage - nor the exact quarter.
I'm pretty new at this so don't know all the ins and outs, But having got this far I'd love to go further.
Thanks
Helen
PS I love genesreunited. I've found a great deal of help with another part of my family here.
