Find Ancestors

I have a Sarah Marsh who married my gt.gt.grandfather around 1841/2, but she was a widow when they married, so how do I find out her maiden name. In the 1841 census she was living at Chilbolton, Hampshire with a son William aged 1. I don't have a name for her deceased husband, so how can I check it please.

A birth certificate for any of her children should show her maiden name.

Oh you clever people, I'm sorry I have been off line I had a problem to deal with.
Yes she married Abraham Biddle, she was a widow married to someone called Marsh. I wanted to know who her parents were. I havent any details of her first marriage either. The daughter she had with Abraham was my gt.grandmother.

I am so grateful for what you did for me yesterday, I have gone through it all again this morning and yes Sarah married Henry Marsh first 1839 and had William. - Could you please find the vol.page for the marriage please so I can get cert. - then something must have happened to Henry cos by the 1851 census she was married to Abraham. Poor Henry wonder what happened to him. Sarah didnt have much luck with Abraham either, he disappeared, I think to an institution and she lived with her daughter after that. She had two sons and a daughter with Abraham.

I really appreciate your help girls.

thers two choices of death for Henry depending on which area they were living at the time. ie Alresford as per the marriage to Henry OR Droxford as per the marriage to Abraham..
