We are curious about a Charlotte Boyce (Evans) who was sentenced in Middlesex Quarter Sessions in 1840 to transportation (Tasmania) at the age of 21. Her proper name was Charlotte Evans according to her profile and and she was a house servant from Westminster. We have no information regarding her parents. She was transported on the Rajah in 1841, settled in South Australia and had 7 children and died in 1895. With the reasonably common name of Boyce or Evans we don't hold much hope of knowing anything more about her but we will post this message in any case. cheers...... |
