I am trying to find a Mary Patricia Foley born c 1900 possibly born in Ireland she had a brother whose name we do not know who was a Catholic Priest,Mary lived in a place called Edwinstowe Nottinghamshire in the 1940s & she worked at the Swan Hotel during this time (Mansfield Nottinghamshire) in 1943 she was with a man called John Kavanaugh he was in the Pioneer corps ,We do not know if they were married of just living together ,but they had a baby & Mary named him as the father , Mary at this stage would have been in her 40s the child was given away at 8 weeks old & it's thought that Mary may have returned to Ireland she had at least 2 other children to her husband whoever he may be.Does this ring a bell ? the lady I am trying to do this research for is the 8 week old baby born 1943,any info much appreciated thank you . |
