having problems locating records for my grandad so any help would be great as i cant seem to move on. my aunts cannot agree on when he was born hence the 10-13. he married a lady called rose ellen skilton who was also born in horsham about 1920. i cannot find birth or marriage details so any help would be great . i think that roses dad was joseph skilton b 1884. and have been told that rose and albert married in horsham about 1938 i would like to find out who alberts parents are so any idears or help finding his birth or marrage details would be great |

However, I suggest that you try and pin down the marriage and get the marriage cert first. The birth cert on its own won't really help as it might not be the right one and you could go chasing the wrong family. |

had sisters called rose and charity that the family know of. we think charity died at the age of c15 and we know mary lived in horsham sussex but dont know there dates of birth etc. my granddad did not say alot about his family and my nans sisters audrey mary and ivy are all a bit confusing if you know what i mean |

have been trying to locate the marriage details for about a year now but i cant seem to find any around the date my nans sisters gave so i am not sure if i am doing something wrong or what. hence the listing we have been looking for the marriage record as i thought it might give us more clues to rose and alberts parents addresses and birth dates and general info but we just keep going around in circles. |

in the time i took to reply i see dorset baby has replyied thanks so much for this i will use all this info to request the certificates i just cant thank you all enough i was really beginning to despaire. |
