Francis Allen (Marriage)

Trying to find marriage between Francis Allen and Mary Ann Willis.

Francis Allen was born in Manchester c1829 and Mary Ann Willis was born in Birmingham c1833.

The earliest child that I know of is Henry Allen c1854 in Birmingham. I have tried without success to find a marriage, and am beginning to wonder if they ever married.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Might at least one of them have been married already? Pretty common occurrence!

Do you know for sure that the youngest child(ren) was a child of Willis and Allen? One or both of them might have married and had a child, and left the marriage, with the child, by the 1861 census, where the child appears in the household.

This couple are a problem. The examples you have given i have looked at before, but thank you anyway.

I tried to find a marriage for a Francis Allen married to a Mary Ann of any surname, but couldn't find any.

No, I am not sure of the parentage of any of the children, with the exeption on Selina Allen, my Gt Grandmother.
