I'm hoping to trace the birthplace of Henry Crook, born 1.10.1810 and the names of his parents.Some reference is made to Ashprington, but we are unclear whether he was born there. He married Elizabeth Giles (Jiles) on 28.7.1839 in Totnes. I'd also like information about Elizabeth's parents & birthplace if possible.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried the International Genealogical Index on the Moromon site?

www.familysearch.org.


Just be very very wary of SUBMITTED records.

Extracted records can be trusted as much as any other reocrds found on the web.
