Do you know how old they were at the time -- approx dates of birth? Also, any idea of middle names?

A quick check of the death indexes for 1984-2006 shows several people by those names who might be either or both of them. If they have died, and you know when and where, you might be able to find obituaries in newspaper archives that would give you info about family members.

(I still haven't sorted out whether third parties may obtain recent death certificates, but if you can, there might be family info on them as well.)

You could try forces reunited?

I am trying to find Leslie and Frederick Doble - sons of Alan Doble who served together in WW2 on a gun post on the London outskirts.

My Grandfather William Samuel Doble tried to find them at the end of the War, and now I am trying many years later with the benefit of the internet.

I have a picture from the Daily Mirror taken of Alan, Leslie and Frederick at their gun: but being wartime they would not disclose their location. If anyone can help it would be great.

Thanks Val
