ALFRED HALLS OF HUNSLET

hi once again

i have tried all thats suggested just thought id give it one last shot before i applyed for marrige certs of alfred & ethel to enable me to find his parants & siblings i have found hunslet hall fold on a old photo site called leodis so i do know it excists but can.t find anything or anyone living at hunslet hall fold in the 1901 census or other census so any info i would be very greatful for

Hi Jacky

The strange thing is that since he was meant to come from a large family there are very few Halls in either Hunslet or Leeds from c1890 on.

None in Hunslet and only 2 in Leeds in 1912.

Using the phonetic search you can see there is a large Hallas family, perhaps the name changed.

firstly thanks for your reply it looks like thats what i.m going to have to do i just thought i would be a bit cheeky first and see if anyone had any ideas of another way of finding out the info before i spent another months wages on another cert HA,HA

Hi Jacky

The marriage certificate if you can get it may give his fathers info and help to track him.

A place called a Fold from what I've seen on t'internet may have been a place where cattle were kept, Leeds seems to have several "Fold" names. Maybe your one was the Fold nearest Hunslet Hall. There was I believe a Hunslet Hall Road in South Leeds.

hi there
first of all please let me say thank you for just looking at my post
i have found alfred halls year of birth 1910 and his marrige to ethel farr both of leeds my problem is that i can not find any parents or siblings for him i have been in touch with a lady who is a direct link with ethel halls (nee farr) who assures me that he lived with his rather very large family in hunslet at a place called hunslet hall fold leeds i have googled till my fingers gave way but can.t seam to find anything could anyone point me in the right direction i would be very greatful for any info i get
once again thanks for reading my post i.l sit with fingers crossed as there too sore to type (lol )
