Mary Ellen was born around 1842 so I presume was her first husband. They registered thier son Frank as born in Carlton who was born 1867. I am not sure of the first name of her husband but she remarried before 1871 so he must have died sometime between 1867 and 1871. |

This looks like Mary Ellen's first marraige based on her first child Lewis's birth in Wakefield in 1864 and her remarriage in 1869. Their first childs birth below would confirm the husband's name and his occupation |
