ive been on the computer nearly all day and i have put together all the info you gave me

it does seem to workout in age and time and can really be no other
ive just got to get those certs....just to make sure

its just the bits in the middle that are missing now

ive sent for a death cert then i will go for a birth cert
will it have how she died on it as she was only 26 yrs

If you're after Ruby's parents then her birth cert is what you need. The death cert will only list the informant and that might not be a relative.

If I were you I'd have to get this death cert. They are £7 from the GRO who will send them to you in Cypress.

i was told by a lady on the site that ruby was burried in bodmin church in 1940 but dad was put in the boys home 1935 so there is a gap

You can order Ruby's birth cert online for 7 pounds. If this confirms her parents were Minnie and James you could then order their marriage cert to get ages and father's names.

i did write to that web site at calstock about 4 years ago and it was a dead end but they were really helpful

im living in cyprus as my husband is in the forces so untill i go home in feb for a holidayi cant let you know anymore
your so quick if these are my dads side then that would be just so great for myself and my family

Assuming he was christened the record will probably only show his Mum's name but I have seen one at Calstock that names the Dad.

dad told me about a letter that rubys dad was a marine and he was from county cork

its at mums house but by memory
it just says mother ruby mary clancey working as a servant at providance place calstock
the place where she gave birth was pages cross launceston which i looked up and it was a work house poor law place
ive contacted the rcords but there isnt any records for her at pages cross

yes she was a servant girl working in calstock so the father could have been anyone really just at such a full stop
my mums side is getting bigger by the day and above my dad its just ruby mary clancey
