If you go onto the Tips Board and do a search with the word "adoption", you'll find a lot of useful threads.

Like Mary, I only have the faintest idea about adoptions, but I wish you luck.

I can't help you at all as I know nothing about adoption, but I just wanted to wish you good luck with your search.

If you put the names in the quick search box at the top of the page there are several people with those names born in Ireland in their trees on here - have you tried contacting any of them?

hi, i am trying to trace my birth mother and father but have come to a full stop. have been on different sites with no luck, am also on the contact register now. but if any one can help it would be appreciated.


mothers name is philomena ann o'connor
not sure of her age possibly early 60's she was born in ireland
i was born in 1964 and she lived in the edgeware road area.
my fathers name is john treacy possibly in his 70's also born in ireland, but was living in stanmore middx in 1964. he was a tailor back then.

so can anyone help with this huge hole in my life????????? please?
