I know that to find any German ancestry routes you have to apply to the town where they were born. This will help immensely.

I have looked at the 1901 image and Egon's occupation is Music Hall Artiste and his place of birth is Leipric? German subject.

As he's a Lei German subject I should hopefully be able to find out more from the Latter Day Saints website.

Hi - I'm trying to find any records for Simon Blumenfeld who was born around 1840 or Egon Blumenfeld (his son) who was born about 1860.

I have this information from his Egon's Marriage Certificate when he married Theresa Parnham in Hull in June 1887. Simon's occupation was an Artist and Egon's was a Circus Artist. We have no real idea what nationality they were (but have always assumed they were German Jews, although we could be wrong!). Can anyone give me any tips on where to start, please? I've tried the Church of the Latter Days Saints website but there doesn't seem to be an awful lot of information in there I can access.
