Find Ancestors

I have just met my half-sister for the first time who traced my mum through this site.
I've never done anything like this before, but am now looking for my half-brother, but really don't know what I should be doing, or where to start.
Does anyone have some advice for me please?

Do you know his name and place of birth? If so try BT on line telephone directory.

Give all the info you have, Sam and I will see if I can help - not that I very experienced in finding living people

Thanks for replying.

I've tried BT and 192 but no luck with either.

His name is Nigel Peter Miller, born 17.08.74.
Mother: Avril Mary Brench
Father: Nigel Arthur Miller
Uncle: Peter Miller, was in police force in 1970's.

Think he was born in Frimley, Camberley, Surrey, and have found birth record.

Is there anything else I can do?

dont know if it will help in 2001 there was a nigel a miller living bristol area.
also found a nigel p miller newport area

Have you posted on the Trying to Find board?

You could try writing the the local papers in the area.

i have address for them but whether they are still living at these address i do not know. you could always wright to them and explain that you are trying to find your half brother. as i say it is 2001 that i have the info for nigel p would have been able to vote by then so could be possible that it is him, i have wrote to one of my relies like this.

I think Nigel and also his dad Nigel, and probably the uncle Peter too, all stayed around the Guildford area, but I am having no luck finding any of them.
