Thanks Gail for some reason they have all been transcribed as living in the Harrington household!!
Thanks again

It says 'Serv' (servant) not son, and it is listed as a different household.

Frederick, Harriet and Peter at Bitterne? Lodge and William Rider at Bitterne Cottage, then Charlotte Hale at 'The Ridge'

Gail.

Hi
I have managed to find some of my relations on the 1871 census on ancestry but am slightly confused.

Could anyone please have a look and see if it is an error on the transcribers behalf or advise what else could be the explanation.

The census is for 1871, Peter Harrington abt 1851, born Breamore Hampshire.

My confusion is that the head of the house is Peter's father Fredrick Harrington, aged 50, then there is a William Rider transcribed as son aged 55!!! Surely that cant be correct for starters!! Then a CHARLOTT Hale as Son (i believe this to be a girls name)
I notice that on the original image it looks like possibly different houses could someone please advise or help?
