As registration wasn't compulsory until 1875, it is quite likely that his birth wasn't registered.

To offer the incorrect one to others, you may like to try the bmdshare website.

I ordered a birth certificate which was the wrong one. I'm happy to pass it on to the correct family free of charge. The GRO reference is 1839, Jun, Caernarfon, Vol 27, page 344. Its a birth certificate of John Evans born 27th April 1839 at Rhosgawrn Llanwnda (I think - its not clear sorry). Parent were Griffith Evans & Elizabeth Thomas. I'm searching for the certificate of John Evans Bwlch Bach, Llanddeiniolen, his parents were Robert and Sarah Evans. I would appreciate any information on them.
