Yes true Joan, just wondered as their parents and siblings Collins and the Erly family stayed in Durham all the time.

The second child born just two years later they were in Richmond Yorkshire.

Perhaps she had Thomas while visiting family/friends in Northamptonshire--you never know.

Hi Joan,

Thank you!! I hope I can spell the middle name properly its Thomas Aloysious Collins born 29th Ferbruary 1920 (Yes it was a leap year so 29th)
Mother Ann Erly father Thomas Collins.

I know parents married in Durham and also moved to Richmond North Yorkshire but he wasn't born in Yorkshire.

You might get lucky and find it on Freebmd as they do have some for that time.

If not you need Ancestry or Findmypast for the complete BMD indexes

Find a birth place (ie area in England) if you know the date they born and the name of the person and also the parents names. Birth was in 1920.
