Find Ancestors

I'm trying to find information on my ggrandfather.

He's marriage cert says-
Married: 8th Nov 1916
Name: John William Gillham
Age: 28 (b. 1888c)
Father: William Gillham
Father's Profession: Road Worker

Can anyone find any further information on ancestry for me please?

Marriage was in Swanscombe (Dartford District)

But John I think I was born in Dartford district also, I had a look on ancestry but unable to view the record, but there is one born in 1889 O-N-D so it could be him if he's birthday falls after the marriage, but my brain is completely mushed.

There is one family listed 1901 in kent when i looked up "John Gillham b.1887-1890 in Kent" but unable to view without sub.

can't find him in 1861 with his parents yet, but this looks a possible for his birth, if the area covered as far as Fawkham...

Just looked on free BMD and it says that Fawkham comes under the Dartford district.

But I did manage to find he's marriage to Susan Scott in 1882 Q4 Dartford 2a 707
