Caron..

on the 1841 census, adults over 15(?) only had to have their ages put rounded down to the nearest 5/0 years.

Eg age 40-44 would be classed as 40, and 45-49 would be 45.

The 1841 census was done in June, the others all late March/early April.

Hi Jim...well you've found me something to get my teeth into...it must be them on the 41 and 51 even though some of the ages don't tie up....do you think...also whats IGI...and why 'pedigree' after her name...My Goodness...you got her dob...Thank you....

Caron.. LOL at lying about her age!

Might be worth googling High Wycome Online Parish Clerk, or looking on Genuki to see if there is one, or baptisms have been transcribed.

PS...only info I have on emma is the possible marriage, and then I traced the children and one of them had sole as a middle name so confirmed it was the right family...however when I start delving around 1827 1836 for her birth or census returns it all goes a bit murky....and she lied about her age on every census return after she was married!!!!!

Caron Report 30 Nov 2007 20:30

Hey...amazing and thanks for trying...do you think that could be him in 51....yes he married emma sole and they had 11 children in total....amazed when I saw 61 census return....where has all that money gone!!!! looks like emma kept it all going after he died....in 81.91 and 01 return she states occuption same as he did.....if you guys are having no luck think thats going to be the end of the road for me..!!
THANK YOU
